UNM Gives: Together, Stronger than Ever
UNM Gives United Way Campaign-Help People in our Community Through November 30
The UNM Gives campaign raises funds for the United Way of Central New Mexico, which supports nonprofit organizations in Bernalillo, Sandoval, Valencia, Torreon, and Santa Fe counties. In 2022, United Way awarded $2,044,633 million in grants to 57 nonprofit organizations and $400,000 to 20 nonprofit organizations in Santa Fe.
You can help United Way give back to our community with a pledge of just $1 per week. Your $1 per week donation supports organizations like Meals on Wheels, which change lives and make a difference. Continue reading to see how Meals on Wheels supported Angela and her son.
United Way supports: Meals on Wheels Low Income Food Enrichment Program
Angela works in home health care and cares for her son, who has Downs Syndrome, a heart condition, and diabetes. When preparing specialized meals for her son became difficult, she turned to Meals on Wheels for help. Thanks to the support you provide, Angela’s son can now microwave his own meals, allowing him to live more independently.
How can I help?
Take five minutes, visit the UNM Gives webpage and pledge $1-5 dollars per month. Donations can be made via cash, check, credit card, or payroll deduction.
When you make a pledge to the campaign, you will be entered in drawings to win art studio passes, WOW passes, basketball tickets, and other prizes. President Stokes and Executive Vice President Ziedonis will make a personal pizza delivery to one department on Main Campus and one department at HSC that contribute the most monetary donations.
Pledge today at the UNM Gives webpage!
